Nowadays web searching is the most popular activity .web search engine is create to search for information on web.Search Engine keeps us up-to-date on all the news and developments.Web Search engines have played a central role in making the Internet so much popular and accessible even to the common users. People use the Internet to solve their day to day life problems. Web Search engines are also popular and famous country wise, and there are so many search engines in each country for the country-oriented specific content on the Internet.here are  some search engine that i think are good,fast and give relevant result of our search.



google - is the most popular, best and fast search engine in the Internet world. In 1996 Larry page & Sergey Brin begin collaborating on a search engine called backrub.in 1997 they decided to change the search engine name from backrub to GOOGLE ,a play on the word “googol,”.in 1998 august Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim pay check of 100,000 $ to an entity and now a company called google inc.if any one is genius or not go to google for any type of search on web .in survey 83% say google is fast relevant and the largest catalogue of web pages. it Search the world's information, including web pages, images, videos and more. google has many special features to help us find exactly what we're looking for.

YAHOO
yahoo is the second most famous and used search engine on the web by query.in 1994 January yang and filo created a website "Jerry's guide to the world wide web".it was a directory of other websites ,organised in a hierarchy, as opposed to a search able index of pages. In 1994 march that site renamed as yahoo and yahoo.com domain is created in 1995. On July 16, 2012, former Google executive, Marissa Mayer, was named as Yahoo CEO and President. yahoo , the world's 2nd most visited home page. Quickly find what we're searching for.

BING
Bing is a search engine from Microsoft.it was introduced by Microsoft CEO Steve bollmer in 2009 may for released in 2009 June.in July 2009 Microsoft and yahoo announced that Bing would all in yahoo search hold .its available in more than 40 languages globally. it brings together the best of search and people in our social networks to help us spend less time in searching and more time in doing.


ASK
Ask Jeeves initially gained fame in 1998 and 1999 as being the "natural language" search engine that let you search by asking questions and responded with what seemed to be the right answer to everything.In reality, technology wasn't what made Ask Jeeves perform so well. Behind the scenes, the company at one point had about 100 editors who monitored search logs. They then went out onto the web and located what seemed to be the best sites to match the most popular queries.In 1999, Ask acquired Direct Hit, which had developed the world's first "click popularity" search technology. Then, in 2001, Ask acquired Teoma's unique index and search relevancy technology. Teoma was based upon the clustering concept of subject-specific popularity. Ask depends on crawler-based technology to provide results to its users. 



ALTA VISTA 
Alta Vista was one of the first Internet search engines. Alta Vista was made by the idea of Paul Flaherty and two Louis Monier, , and Michael Burrows,launched in December 1995.in 1998 Digital was sold to Compaq and in 1999, redesigned as web portal. In June 1999, Compaq sold a majority stake in Alta Vista to CMGI, an Internet investment company. In February 2003, Alta Vista was bought by Overture Services, and in October of that year, Overture itself was taken over by Yahoo. In August 2004, shortly after Yahoo’s acquisition, the Alta Vista site started using the Yahoo Search technology.


duckduckgo was founded by Gabriel Weinberg, an entrepreneur The Names Database was acquired by United On line in 2006 for $10 million.Duck Duck Go is an Internet search engine written in Perl and runs on nginx . Due to its user friendly privacy policy Duck Duck Go doesn’t show users personal information in its search records. Duck Duck Go is popular for specific and different searching criteria and manages to have a large user base of its search engine facilities. 





LYCOS is one of the oldest search engines on a web,which was began as a research project by Michael Loren Mauldin in 1994. Lycos Inc. cost approximately us $ 2 million .bob Davis became first CEO of company in 1995.in may 2000, Lycos announced its intent to be acquired by Terra Networks.On August 2, 2004, Terra announced that it was selling to Daum Communications Corporation for $95.4 million in cash and after that it halfly owned by Terra and Daum Communications Corporation .its Daum sold Lycos for $36 million in August 2010 to Ybrant Digital, an Internet marketing company says "go get it".


Blekko is a search company founded by Rich Skrenta and his core team from previous company Topix and Netscape’s Open Directory. Blekko was founded halfway through 2007 and has already earned itself an angel round from Baseline Ventures and two ex-Googlers. Blekko is a web search engine that aims at providing better search results than those offered by Google Search by offering results culled from a set of 3 billion trusted websites. It uses slashtags to provide results for common searches.Blekko searches the web with regular crawls of billions of web pages.


Dogpile is a registered trademark of Blucora, Inc. Dogpile is also a search engine that obtains its search results using Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Yandex and several other prevalent search engines, together with those from audio and video content suppliers. While each search engine has its own technique of looking and each has comes back with different answers, but Dogpile gauzes at all of them, decides which would measure up to your search, which are most relevant, eliminates identical matches and divulges them to you. Eventually, you fetch a directory of results which are more complete and relevant than can be found anywhere else on the Net.




AOL
AOL Search provides users with editorial listings that come Google's crawler-based index. Indeed, the same search on Google and AOL Search will come up with very similar matches. So, why would you use AOL Search? Primarily because you are an AOL user. The "internal" version of AOL Search provides links to content only available within the AOL online service. In this way, you can search AOL and the entire web at the same time. The "external" version lacks these links. Why wouldn't you use AOL Search? If you like Google, many of Google's features such as "cached" pages are not offered by AOL Search.
